Herrankukkaro offers a unique Finnish culinary experience in the heart of the archipelago. We make most of the food ourselves in our own kitchen – starting with baking our traditional island bread. Our ingredients are sourced from nature, bringing authentic flavors of the sea, forests, and fields. We prioritize responsibly sourced wild fish and game, emphasizing the pure tastes of fresh, local produce, which we use according to the seasons and availability.
Our meals are served buffet-style, and we are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions communicated in advance. We source as many ingredients as possible from local producers, such as Mattila Farm (Aasla), Mikola Organic Farm (Rymättylä), Vakka-Yrtti (Taivassalo), Mimi’s Kotipellon Garden (Mynämäki), Yrittipaja (Säkylä), and the Toivonen fishing couple’s local fish.
Our carefully curated wine list highlights small-scale producers with limited annual production, many of whom are family-owned estates dedicated to long-term, high-quality winemaking. All the wines on our list have been chosen to complement the flavors of Herrankukkaro’s Finnish island cuisine, offering an authentic taste of the archipelago.
